Title: Epic Battles in Music: Grandmaster Flash, Britney Spears, & Sugarhill Gang (note the Star Trek theme)

I forgot to add this 1st time around, so I will add it here: Why exactly each of these 3 video pairs sound so similar:
1) Flash v Flash: The song was WRITTEN that way: Common cause - the writer of that song.
2) Oops v Hit me again: Probably Britney Spears writers got lazy & wrote 2 consecutive songs similar: Common cause - her writers)
3) Flash v Sugar Hill Gang: Both songs use samples of the old Apache song by The Ventures and/or The Shadows: Common cause - samples)
--- OK, I said it, so now there's no wondering "why dem soungz sound so alike?" - he hehh... (-:/ (-:/

Does anyone remember 'Flash vs. Flash'? (We got style)

Better yet: What would happen if Grandmaster FLASH & The Furious 5 battled the Sugarhill GANG? --or a: Britney Spears vs. Britney Spears battle occurred in an alternate universe?

-- Wonder no more... D.J. 'Flash Gordon Watts' has mixed (in stereo no less!) such battles -and complete with graphics -- all you old hip HOPPERS cool beat BOPPERS, sit back, and listen -and then you'll LEARN, Flash Gordon's gettin' his turn to burn... - Cut it up, Flash! ps: Flash is protected by Fair use, since this is NOT able to be sold --it's cut up too much for resale! Cut it up, Flash!

Fair Use analysis - by the numbers: (LEGAL)

* Gordon: 0:00 - 0:43 (43 sec)

* Style: 0:43 - 1:05 (22 sec)

* Britney: 1:05 - 1:48 (43 sec)

GMF-vs-SHG: 1:48 - 2:48 (60 sec)

* Gordon: 2:48 - 2:58 (10 sec)

* Style: 2:58 - 3:24 (26 sec)

Totals: 204 sec.

3:24 = 3x60 + 24 = 180 + 24 = 204 -- check.

FAIR USE analysis: (rounded to nearest 0.5%)

* Gordon: 43 + 10 = 53 sec = 26%

* Style = 22 + 26 = 48 sec = 23.5%

* Britney = 43 sec = 21%

* GMF-vs-SHG = 60 sec = 29.5% (or 15% each)

Totals: 26 + 23.5 + 21 + 29.5 = 100.0% check.

Conclusion: I do not violate Fair Use, since no one work is anywhere near 50%, and I include each small snippet as part of an overall commentary, criticis, and parody of Star Trek, and various songs.

-- Jam on!!
