Roy Johnson talks about how he has campaigned for better diabetes care and support services through the Diabetes Voices volunteer campaign network.

Roy’s used his own experience as someone living with Type 1 diabetes, and as a parent of a child with Type 1 diabetes, to make the case to politicians and other influential figures about why quality diabetes care matters.

Having had several amputations himself, Roy is especially passionate about the Putting Feet First campaign. He explains how he spoke to MPs to get their backing for Diabetes UK’s efforts to reduce the number of avoidable amputations.
