The STARscanner™ is an FDA-approved laser data acquisition system. The scanner records three-dimensional (3D) information about the infant's head shape in 1.5 seconds. The non-invasive laser is safe for the eyes and non-invasive. The scanner eliminates the need for the traditional plaster casting procedure to create a mold of the head. Scans provide ongoing quantitative data for physicians, orthotic practitioners and parents to monitor changes in head shape.
