Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) held its 48th annual Spring Commencement on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Cleveland State Wolstein Center in Cleveland.

The College gave out 918 Associate of Arts degrees, 427 Associate of Applied Business degrees, 773 Associate of Applied Science degrees, 198 Associate of Science degrees, 14 Associate of Technical Study degrees and 434 certificates of completion.

The College also awarded honorary degrees to Shelley Roth and the Rev. Dr. Otis Moss Jr. to recognize their contributions to the College and community.

The commencement speaker was award-winning journalist Russ Mitchell, managing editor and anchor at WKYC/Channel 3.

The student speaker was Krystal Workman, who graduated with an Associate of Applied Science degree in sports and exercise studies. The Cleveland Heights resident achieved a 4.0 grade point average and plans to enter a master's program for nutritional science at Case Western Reserve University. Her goal is to become a certified personal trainer and dietitian.
