Original song for LGBT civil rights called "Make It Better" about a gay couple who met in high school and went to college together, standing on top of a mountain overlooking the land sometime during their senior year in college, reminiscing on how they overcame high school and looking forward to making it better for them and everyone. At the end of the song, one of them segways into "United We Love" and proposes to the other.

Song: Sean Chapin

LYRICS

I want to know just what it feels like to be free from all discrimination prejudice and ignorance that permeates our culture and society I really want to know.

I want to know just what it feels like to be free and live the life I want to live because I am entitled to equality no matter who I love I really want to know.

I want to know just what it feels like to be free and I can not afford to wait until that day arrives because the change we want will only happen if we stand up to our government so I will stand for me and I will stand for you and we will make it better now.

For the hottest pink, oh we will make it better
For the red of life, oh we will make it better
For the orange healing, we will make it better
For the yellow sunlight, we will make it better
For the green of nature, we will make it better
For the turquoise magic, we will make it better
For the indigo, oh we will make it better
For the violet spirit, we will make it better

For the one I love, oh we will make it better
For the land I serve, oh we will make it better
For the job I have, oh we will make it better
For the life I live, oh we will make it better
For his hand in marriage, we will make it better
For the nation's freedom, we will make it better
For the honest paycheck, we will make it better
For the greater welfare, we will make it better
For the sons and daughters, we will make it better
For the mothers, fathers, we will make it better
For the aunts and uncles, we will make it better
For the sisters, brothers, we will make it better

For equality, oh we will make it better

I want to know just what it feels like to be free so here I am and I will make it better today.
