Berkay Durukan
truely underrated. besides, there's a FUCKING balance between joy and sadness in his songs. it's like you're half smiling and half crying inside. deep shit.

I don't know why, but everytime I hear this song I have this scene in my head where some kind of futuristic space soldier sits in a spaceship, travelling through space, knowing that he will not survive the battle that he is headed to. He is looking out the windows, down onto the planet that will be his doom, thinking about everything he left behind. Friends, family, his wife, all the beautiful memories that he will never relive again, all the things he sacrificed. He doesn't fear his fate, is not afraid of what's coming. It was his choice. But still, deep sadness fills his heart, mixed with happiness that he was allowed to experience such joy and happiness before he had to die. Every time I hear this song that's in my head. I don't know why, but it's tragically beautiful.

Most of my sweet memories were buried in the sand The fire and the pain will now be coming to an end How did you get to save me from this desolate wasteland In your eyes I see the dawn of brighter days again. With my tears you washed away the mud stuck on my hands All the things you're trying to do make me a better man Now I remember the joy and the taste of candy cane The innocence of youth and the sound of major scales. Most of what I used to be had vanished in the waves The memories of the boy I've been were drowning and you saved them Now I remember the joy and the meaning of the fate The color of the truth and the sound of sunny days. Most of my sweet memories were buried in the sand The fire and the pain will now be coming to an end How did you get to save me from this desolate wasteland In your eyes I see the dawn of brighter days again.

I prefer him not getting into the new society's attention. He's so much better as a low key artist. I love him
