Tens of women protested outside of the Montreux Palace on Wednesday, where the Geneva-II peace talks are being held. The female protesters urged for a peaceful solution and criticised the Western governments for letting "geo-political interests" determine policy on the conflict.
Nobel Peace Prize Winner Mairead Maguire and former vice president of EU parliament Luisa Morgantini expressed their concerns over peace talks and underlined the necessity of including Syrian women in talks regarding the future of the nation.
