This colorful feast for the eyes is a classic for the Atari Jaguar, Tempest! This game was originally ported for the Atari Jaguar (failure). After the Jaguar failed, Atari got what money they could and ported popular games for the Jaguar like Tempest and modernized remakes of games like Asteroids, Missile Command, and Defender. This is a great game that will entertain you for HOURS AND DAYS. The level designs are really cool, and challenging. The music is really good too. The music was so good, that when the Atari Jaguar CD came out, it was packaged with the Tempest 2000 soundtrack.
The game contains 3 different types of gameplay hence the name, Tempest X3. It has the "Traditional" Tempest (Tempest 2000), Tempest X (Updated Tempest 2000, has more power ups, and different enemies to blast away), and Tempest X 2 Player for head-to-head competition with a friend.
This game didn't sell that well and you can get it complete for around $9. It is one of the lost gems on the list of PS1 games, so don't leave this game out of your collection.
