*PLEASE NOTE: (Sadly, the red-herring / straw-man of 'anti-vaccines' has poisoned perceptions of the legitimate scientific debate, so it's necessary to be very clear:) INOCULATION AGAINST SERIOUS DISEASE IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE CLEVEREST INNOVATIONS IN HUMAN HISTORY.

"To summarize, of the 58 empirical reports on autism and heavy metal toxins, 43 suggest some link may be present, while 13 reports found no link. Even with the tendency for null results not to be reported, it cannot be said there is no evidence for a link between heavy metal toxins and autism: although the question may still be open-in sum, the evidence favors a link." - DeSoto and Hitlanby; Acta Neurobiol Exp. v70, p165-176, 2010 (An objective review of the primary research; full pdf here: http://www.ane.pl/pdf/7021.pdf )

"From a cellular perspective, it would appear that the existing scientific literature supports the biological plausibility of a Hg-based autism pathogenesis." - 'The Plausability of Mercury in the Etiology of Autism', M. Garrecht & D.W. Austin, 2011. (Full article here: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/artic... )

Dr Haley has been a tireless advocate, teacher, and researcher on the role of mercury, dental amalgams, and thimerosal, in degenerative disease. He's championed reason and sound science for decades -- despite a near constant head-wind of personal attacks.

He received his BS in Chemistry/Physics from Franklin College in 1963; Completed a stint in the U.S. Army... and then his M.S. in Chemistry at the University of Idaho in 1966; Completed his Ph.D. in Chemistry/Biochemistry at Washington State University in 1971; Was an NIH Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Physiology, Yale University Medical School from 1971 to 1974; Was appointed at the University of Wyoming in 1974, and promoted to full professor in 1983; Was the first scientist hired in the Markey Cancer Center at the University of Kentucky in 1985, with academic appointments as professor in the College of Pharmacy and the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Kentucky Medical Center; Was named Professor and Chair of the Department of Chemistry in 1996, and served out this position until his retirement in 2008.

[PS / Btw, the best collection of resources on mercury and human health that I've come across is, far and away, the IAOMT's youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/iaomt/vid... ]
