College of Charleston slugger Daniel Aldrich was named the NCBWA Freshman Player of the Year in 2011 and won the TD Ameritrade Home Run Derby. He was also the Collegiate Baseball National Freshman of the Year, SoCon Freshman of the Year, a Louisville Slugger All-American, NCBWA All-American, ABCA/Rawlings All-American, and CBI All-American. He also led Division I freshmen in home runs (22) RBIs (73), slugging percentage (.739) and total bases (164).

In 2012, Aldrich (redshirt sophomore) was named to the Preseason First Team All-American by Collegiate Baseball and NCBWA.

In high school, Aldrich was a two-time All-State performore, the World Wood Bat MVP, a Baseball America Second Team All-American and a Rawlings Third Team Pre-Season All-American.
