Some might think I'm odd for doing this, but I don't care. If I'm ever stressed out, lonely, or overwhelmed by something, I sit in the back of my parked car and listen to the whole American Beauty soundtrack, especially this song. It's the most beautiful music I've ever heard, and it really helps me pull myself together in tough situations. I never knew I'd enjoy something so simple as sitting in a stationary car with rain pounding against the windows, enjoying an instrumental. If you pay attention to the small things in the world, you learn to appreciate the overall beauty.

this is so sad, but so beautiful ♥
I was dead for billions of years until I was born. I will be dead again one day.... perhaps that is all life is. A moment of self. Then back to the void.

There is so much beauty in the world.  To bad i feel fucked up inside.. and can't enjoy it. It's my own fault though, i live isolated for 10 years now..

as a musician i must say this is one of the best pieces i've ever heard. It's a rather simple melody but every tone fits to one another.

This song was what I heard in my head at the end of my football career. I worked my whole life and devoted it to football and I find I have no college offers regarding football. I stood in the the center of the field and just took it in for one last time.

Why do the worst things happen to the best of people? My dad is the most kindest selfless person I know. He will do anything to make sure his kids are fine. Around 3 years ago my mom left him for another guy, randomly out of the blue. 2 months after that, he got diagnosed with Bowel cancer. It's hard to see someone you love so much, always happy and smiling, be so down and depressed. He never complained once about it, and just got on with it. All I'm saying is it can happen to anyone, even the nicest people. Life's too short for silly little arguments, family are the most important people in the world. Be grateful for what they do. Thanks for everything dad x

No words but still, zillions and zillions of feelings! I only compare it to "Fade Into You" as the most influential song I've ever heard. Dedicated to the mysterious aura deep inside us that eats our flesh and at the same time keeps us going...

"I had always heard your entire life flashes in front of your eyes the second before you die. First of all, that one second isn't a second at all. It stretches on forever, like an ocean of time. For me, it was lying on my back at Boy Scout Camp, watching falling stars. And yellow leaves from the maple trees that lined our street. Or my grandmother's hands, and the way her skin seemed like paper. And the first time I saw my cousin Tony's brand new Firebird. And Janie, and Janie. And Carolyn. I guess I could be pretty pissed off about what happened to me, but it's hard to stay mad when there's so much beauty in the world. Sometimes I feel like I'm seeing it all at once, and it's too much. My heart fills up like a balloon that's about to burst. And then I remember to relax, and stop trying to hold on to it, and then it flows through me like rain, and I can't feel anything but gratitude for every single moment of my stupid little life. You have no idea what I'm talking about, I'm sure. But don't worry. You will someday." Masterpiece.
