The effectiveness of the Sims Sting Stop vibration absorber is demonstrated using two Louisville Slugger youth baseball bats were supported at the knob with a rubber band (allowing them to vibrate) while the barrel was dropped onto the concrete floor. The resulting vibration of the bats was filmed at 1000 fps with my Casio EX-F21. The bat on the right is a normal bat and vibrates noticeably and bounces multiple times after hitting the floor. The bat on the left (with the vibration absorber in the knob) does not vibrate and only bounces a couple of times before coming to rest. The Sims Sting Stop vibration absorber effectively kills the vibration of the first bending mode of the bat.
