Some of my favorite bosses are Bowser (most Mario games), Dr. Neo Cortex (Crash Bandicoot: Warped), Jinpachi Mishima (Tekken 5), Algol (Soul Calibur 4), Orochi (The King of Fighters '97), Ripto (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!), Dr. Eggman/Robotnik (most Sonic the Hedgehog games), Abyss (Marvel VS Capcom 2), Geese Howard (Fatal Fury) and Shao Kahn (Mortal Kombat 3).

Some of my favorite bosses would be: - Omega Weapon (Final Fantasy VIII) - Demogorgon (Baldur's Gate 2 expansion) - The Master (Fallout 1) - Fake Allant (Demon's Souls, this is the real final boss in my opinion) - Zeus (God of War III) - Liquid Ocelot (Metal Gear Solid 4) - Artorias of the Abyss (Dark Souls DLC) - Dracula (Super Castlevania IV)

Beyond Translation
Kefka's resemblance to a Fallen Angel paralleling Lucifer was a phenomenal work of art.. Dipping back to NES, the idea of Mother Brain was enough.. A literal Brain organism connected to the mind and will of any living thing on the planet. It is the most climatic concept for a final boss I could think of.

FF 4 was the first RPG I ever beat and I recently started replaying SOTN lol glad I came across this. Easily two of my favourite games of all time. Most memorable boss would be the final boss of drakengard where you are countering the white and black expanding circles.

Yeah, both Castlevania 3 and SOTN had great bosses. Dracula from C3 was super creepy and hard. And remember Beelzebub from SOTN? The giant corpse hanging from chains? One of my favorite bosses is from Actraiser 2. It's supposed to be a man-made god at the top of the Tower of Babel, and it's this big face with a bunch of spinning symbols around it to include a sextant, hydrogen bombs, a clock, and other things. It would spin around and whatever gadget it landed on determined its next attack.
