Award winning garden designer and TV presenter Chris Beardshaw presented visited the University to lecture on the Critical Design Studio module on the BSc Architecture course. He also held a public lecture on 'Painting with Plants.'
His talk was one of a series of 13 lectures, entitled The Art of Design: Materiality and Ideas, taking place at Birmingham Institute of Art and Design.
Birmingham School of Architecture is hosting the lectures in association with MADE, the architecture centre for the West Midlands. The lectures are being presented by internationally renowned speakers from universities and architectural practices such as Harvard University and RMIT Melbourne.
