This video shows how to disable the PTT camera button on the Samsung Rugby 2 cellphone. SGH-A847

The Camera has a dedicated button (PTT) on the side of the phone. This button can not be locked, even when the phone is closed. If the button pressed for 1.5 seconds, the camera will start up and take pictures every time the button is pressed. The button is not recessed and sticks out so you will accidental start up the camera while in your pocket or talking on it. This will certainly drain the battery faster and you will have to waist time deleting the many pictures taken of your pocket. This button can not be disabled or changed in the menu, and does not lock when the phone is closed.

Remove the PTT button by using a small flat screw driver. Carefully pry it out and cover the small hole with a piece of electrical tape. Hang on to the switch should you ever wish to pop it back in. You can still operate the camera with the keypad controls
