Dr Julia Morley on how we measure success in the social sector

Julia Morley's research investigates the way we measure success in the social sector. Why has social impact become an increasingly prevalent measure of success? How can we be sure it is conceptually justified and correctly applied by social sector organisations? And how might the use of social impact measurement affect staff? In this film, Dr Morley examines the rise of social impact reporting and argues that a group of individuals working in social investment – many of whom have a background in finance – are driving this change.
