In this collection of expert interviews, we talk with Sir David Attenborough, Professor Ove Hoegh-Guldberg, Charlie Veron, Professor Gregg Webb, Dr Jon Bridle and Professor Jeremy Kerr about corals, the effect of ocean acidification on marine life and the threat of a 6th mass extinction.
About Denial101x:
Climate change is real, so why the controversy and debate? Learn to make sense of the science and to respond to climate change denial in Denial101x, a MOOC from UQx and edX.
Denial101x isn’t just a climate MOOC; it’s a MOOC about how people think about climate change.
Correction: At time 3:48 Ove Hoegh-Gulberg states "the cretaceous boundary event when you have an asteroid hit the Gulf of Mexico...made the Gulf of Mexico..." This statement is incorrect. The asteroid strike at that time did not create the gulf of Mexico. However it did induce extreme and rapid climate change, which is the point Hoegh-Gulberg goes on to elucidate. Our apologies for this issue.
