12/30/93 - Great Western Forum, Inglewood, CA

During the end-of-show destruction, Kurt used one of the angel's arms to play his guitar at one point. He then left the stage and returned with a drill, which he drove into his guitar before picking it up and spinning it over his head. Meanwhile, Krist started singing The Kinks' "You Really Got Me" by The Kinks

The solo on In Bloom was pretty fucking cool. First time I hear him play it that way!

That solo and he killed himself? Doesn't add up. Have a baby. Than tack on the money. Addicted or not you have connections. Shit is beyond my best mystery novel, the deeper I tread.
I shoulda gone to this. I never saw Nirvana live. I was invited to the Long Beach Bogarts Show from 1990. I live in Long Beach. I had to work or something. It was before Nirvana had broken big. I just had the feeling this Forum gig, was too big, and it smelled of selling out (which they didn't do). I remember hearing when the tix went on sale on KROQ. I thought about going. I thought i was gonna get tix, and waited too long, or something. Or I thought I was going to wait to see them at Lallapalooza 1994. I think the rumor, or it was confirmed they were to headline Lallapalooza. I did go to that Lallapalooza 94. I think it was a bit sad for me going to it considering. And, I just thought Nirvana was going to be around for a very long time, and see the next tour that rolled into town. All, this seems like yesterday. I cannot believe its been that long since River Phoenix has been gone, too. I regret not getting tickets for this show.

This is the most energetic I've ever seen him in the later parts of his career since the early, early days! I wonder what got him like this. May never know, but I'm really glad that they got it on tape.
