Mastodon's "The Hunter" has received heavy rotation in my iPod since it was released last year. Such a great album. I wasn't planning on covering Curl of the Burl, since it's been done a lot already, but when I found that the band put the stems up for download, I couldn't resist.
So this is me playing to a high quality, completely drumless track. All drums you hear on this one are mine.
I really enjoyed learning this one - Brann Dailor's mastery of hertas in this song is nothing short of amazing. He uses them relentlessly, but finds a way to make them fresh on every fill.
