Boston University ended the season of the Boston College Eagles with a 3-2 win, behind a third period three-goal outburst spanning only 44 seconds. Ben Smith gave BC the 1-0 late in the second period, batting a puck out of midair past BU goalie Kieran Millan. Zach Cohen briefly tied the game for BU, muscling his way out of the corner and to the crease, where he deked and put a backhander past BC goalie John Muse. BU's Brian Strait extended the lead seconds later with a hard wrister that beat the screen goaltender, and finally Colin Wilson beat his man out from behind the net and stuffed the puck far side on Muse, giving BU a 3-1 lead. Joe Whitney tipped home a puck to make the score 3-2, but Hockey East Rookie of the Year Kieran Millan would not allow another, and BU advanced to the Hockey East finals with the win.
