A spasm of pain when I think if your name
And the memories I have every one good and bad
I love you
I want you
But I must burn you from my mind
The effort is so hard to find
'cause I wish we were together
But the probability and odds are never
to a billion to one
my faith in miracles has long since gone
let me say i love you for the very last time
i think that every thing
will work out fine
wasted optimism,
in a modern day life,
surrounded by hedonistic jingoisms,
saying what i should be doing,
about what i should be doing with my life,
the time the place it all costs money,
you never think my jokes are funny,
unless there racist sexist or victimise people,
who are less fortunate than myself,
why are you always left on the shelf,
why does it matter,
why don't i care,
its never here its always there,
so maybe there is not the best place to be,
searching for positive answers,
on every possible degree,
and being palmed off with the same predictable conclusions,
never be under any delusions your in collusion,
even though you want to make the decisions,
all your left with is wasted optimism.

A tribute to the living legend Mark E Smith
