Billions of Soviet Rubles were found in abandoned missile silos.The Soviet Ruble was worth around $1.8 in 1991. But after the collapse of the Union, the notes became worthless. So orders were given to bury it in abandoned missile bunkers across the country.Around 440 tons of Soviet rubles were buried in Central Russia alone (Source: www.rg.ru).
