They were once worshipped as Gods in Ancient Egypt, today they are poisoned, beaten, drowned, run over, and are endangered. The still-proud Egyptian Mau cat fights for survival and a chance for Life. Only EMRO with its dedicated Founders - Ms. Gloria Lauris and Dr. Ismail Elkholy - along with a Staff, world-wide volunteers, Sponsors, Donors, Adopters, and Mau enthusiasts stand in the way of this beautiful and intelligent breed's utter annihilation.

A Big Purring THANK YOU's and soft Mau head-butts to Mr. Joseph Laurin of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada who donated this slide show advertising the EMRO shelter cats for promotion to EMRO's cause.
