Fortissimo is a military and musical spectacular created for the lawns of Parliament Hill featuring massed military bands, pipes and drums, guest performers and the soldiers of the Ceremonial Guard.

BGen (Retired) E.B. Beno, Col. Commandant, The Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery was the reviewing Officer on the 12 August performance. The Royal Regiment had a firng Troop of 8 gun detachments, including 2 X 9 pdrs RML from 2 RCHA and 30th Field Artillery Regiment (Ottawa) in Period Dress uniforms, 2 X 25 pdrs from 3e Batterie d'artillerie de Montréal (3BAM) dressed in 1944 Summer Dress, kaki and 4 X 105MM C1 & C3 handled by detachments of 1st RCHA, 5e Régiment d'artillerie légère du Canada, 6ième Régiment de campagne ARC, 42nd Field Artillery Regiment RCA and 30th Field Regiment.
