Hello, I'm Dr. David Horne, Director of the Cal State Long Beach MBA Programs and here's a little bit about the other students currently in our three MBA Programs.
The statistics are pretty straightforward in terms of average age 27, average work experience five years, average GMAT 580, average undergraduate GPA of 3.15, but that is only part of the story.
About 50% of our students are women, higher than most MBA Programs. Our students come from over thirty different countries in Africa, Europe, Asia, South America, the Middle East and beyond.
They come from all over the US with undergraduate degrees from other Cal State schools, the University of California campuses, the Pac 10, the Big Ten, the Big 12, the East Coast, the Midwest and the South.
They come from big, medium and small schools. Students arrive with degrees in business, engineering, humanities, economics, design, music and more. Some have already earned advanced degrees including PhD's, JD's and Masters.
They work in the fields of entertainment, banking, consulting, accounting, aerospace, high tech, utilities, education, and healthcare among others.
The students are representative of Long Beach, one of the most diverse cities in the US. They live and work in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and even San Diego counties.
Each student brings something special to our programs and contributes to the solid reputation of the Cal State Long Beach MBA.
