Do you want to improve your writing and earn a higher grade?

The NWACC Writing Center offers students walk-In consultation
or consultation by appointment. Students may walk in for a review of their writing, 
or they may make an appointment for a specific 
20-minute consultation time.

E-Mail Consultation: The Writing Center also offers email consultation if students are unable to attend their regular open hours. Use this web link to access the email consultation form. On the form, please identify specific concerns for the consultant to address, and include
a copy of the if possible. The document should 
be sent as an attachment in .rtf or .doc or .docx format. The submitted form will go directly to the Writing Center online consultant. Please allow two business days for a response.

Workshops

The Writing Center offers workshops on various topics throughout the semester. One series is on basic writing skills, while two additional series focus on academic writing skills. One academic series is for college-wide subjects, while the other series has an English subject emphasis. These are open to all students, staff, and faculty. Workshops are held in various Burns Hall classrooms. See the Workshops Schedule link on the menu to the left, and select the series that interests you
for complete details. Selected handouts from the workshops are available at the Writing Center.
