If you have brewed beer from kits or from extract, brewing from grain (all grain brewing) doesn't need much extra equipment, especially on a small scale. Brewing in small batches like this is great for a beginner and useful if you are trying out a recipe. Here I'm brewing a bitter-sweet stout which started as a small batch experiment. The end result was so good, I scaled it up and did it again in my mash tun. I heartily recommend the recipe. Failing that; scale down any recipe and use this method.
