BCAA supplements (branched-chain amino acids) are often marketed as essential to bodybuilding, getting more muscle mass and for general workout success.

They consist of three essential amino acids - leucine, isoleucine and valine - and if you have a balanced nutrition or already supplement with a regular protein powder, there is no need for extra BCAA supplements.
