Birmingham missed the chance to secure promotion to the Premier League as Preston hit back for a dramatic win which kept their play-off hopes alive.

A stunning last-minute free-kick from Ross Wallace - who was then sent off for his celebration - sealed victory.

Keith Fahey's header put Birmingham ahead before Lee Williamson and Lee Bowyer were both sent off for grappling inside the centre circle.

Captain Paul McKenna's rocket shot levelled matters before the late drama.
