This dance is based on the vocal form 'qawwali', very popular in India. Flaps, which are included in its background music and which emphasize the song rhythm strikingly, distinguish this vocal form from the others. Initially, 'qawwalis' were the songs of the divine afflation, sung by Sufis. "Ashik-o-mashuk" theme (Beloved male and female theme) - is the latest innovation, removal of 'qawwali' theme to the side of love relations, videlicet: to the controversy between beloved ones, whose love is stronger - man's or woman's?

It is that very dispute which you will see in the dance "Ashiq ho to aisa ho". Youths say: man's love is stronger, more faithful and sacrificial. The girl demur, saying, that one who is only pining, loves from far away, drees his weird and is afraid of people's blame, cannot be called beloved one. And the immortal dispute about the question "whose love is stronger?" continues...
