In this video I do a boil test on the Esbit Solid Fuel Stove Set I bought at my local Army-Navy store. When I saw this stove set on the shelf I remembered that I saw it before in a YouTube video and thought it might be a good light set for a day pack or small rig. It weights 229 grams or 8.05 ounces or .504 pounds. Not exactly a gram-weinie item but not bad. When I got it home I checked my notes and found that I first saw it on a video by BEAST12101. I'll put a link to his video in thios video.
There's a couple of modifications that I'm going to make to the stove set. first thing I did was add a velcro strip to keep the set together, making it easier to take it out of the nylon bag. Also keeps the lid from rattling. After I do this boil test I'm going to remove the cube pan from the stand so that I can use an alcohol burner with this set instead of Esbit cubes. I have no problems with using Esbit cubes but they get a little expensive and messy in the long run.
