UNION TOWNSHIP, Ohio (Brad Underwood) -- A Clermont County man is charged with murdering a 20-year-old woman who neighbors say she knew for a few months. Phillip Hamm appeared in court Monday on a murder charge. A judge ordered him held on half a million dollars bond.Although charges are filed, police continue to investigate why Meagan Fambry was killed. A friend and neighbor lays a single pink rose at her doorstep on Old Savannah Drive. Police say they found the 20-year-old dead inside her apartment Saturday. A release from police says Fambry was a victim of violence, but doesn't say how she was killed. She was a very nice person, I don't ever see why somebody to do something like that. Marcus Riley and Brandon Woods say they were friends with Meagan and hung out often. She had a bunch of pets, she was real cool to come by. She loved spending time on her Facebook, she was always on facebook. Numerous social media sites quickly became a forum for friends to share memories about Meagan and her murder. As for the man police say killed her, one neighbor says he recently moved in with Fambry. She was so young, had so much going for her. I know I've seen the two together, leaving together, going to places together, I think he's known her for about a month or two. Marcus Riley says he met Hamm a few times when hanging out at Fambry's. He was just a real quiet kind of guy. He drew a lot. He was really relaxed, he didn't seemed like he could do something like that by any means. At the moment, it's unclear the extent of the relationship between Fambry and Hamm, other than the two being roommates. Additional charges could be filed according to police after the case is presented to a grand jury.
