The Star Trek franchise continues with this follow-up to 2009's reboot. J.J. Abrams returns to direct from a script by Damon Lindelof, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman. The cast and crew of the Enterprise come back for a second tour of duty along with acclaimed actor Benedict Cumberbatch making his Trek debut as their most daunting threat yet.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: this is excellent. And remarkably spot on. Incorporating elements of Ike's speech about the growing military industrial complex is quite fitting. And those of you who say Into Darkness was the worst film...well, that's in your own mind and opinion. If it was so awful why didn't t bomb in the box office? Yeah, I thought so. Cork it.

Terrible film, rated worse Star Trek movie ever by Trekkies. Star Trek II: Wrath Of Khan and Star Trek:First Contact, now they are good films

I was always impressed with this trailer. It was obviously "fan made" (I really hate that phrase) that was clear at the time but it was well made valid and plausible. Ultimately it was also correct.

Who the hell was that at the 0:50 mark?

Looks like a good attempt but using a scene from Alien resurrection was the weak link for me.
