Watch this in HD if you can.

This is a trailer for book one of the series I'm currently working on called the Heretics. I decided to use Non/Disney characters for the trailer because I couldn't find any real-live actors who fit my characters as perfectly as these guys do.

The Heretics is going to be my NaNoWriMo 2010 book. My account is here: http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/303555

After a mass revolt lead by a God-fearing cleric named Owen Benedict, the entire continent of North America, renamed Hollow, became a totalitarian wasteland disguised as an empire. Freedom of speech and religion was eradicated, and Owen Benedict became Hollow's first dictator. He declared his skewed version of religion, nicknamed the "Fundamentalist Sect," the only religion allowed to be practised. Non-followers were given a choice: convert or be imprisoned. Eighty-four years have passed, and Owen Benedict's great-great grandson Luther has now inherited the autocracy. Manipulated by his malevolent wife Isabella and General Heinrich Hopkins, the leader of the government's sadistic army of Missionaries, Luther orders that all things declared blasphemous--humans included--be destroyed. Secularists, Pagans, and scientists alike are either captured, tortured, and executed or forced into hiding to avoid the former. However, a small band has stood up and started a very public resistance against their oppressive government. Known throughout the continent as the Heretics, the group consists of Miles, a former Missionary turned journalist; Iris, the decendants of Iranian immigrants; Max, a giant known for rescuing underground refugees; Antoine, a naïve and impressionable young scholar; Kandel, an astronomer hunted for knowing too much about science; and Kandel's deadly and slightly disturbed teenage ward, Sage. Each are hunted by their government for different reasons, and each have their own tragic motives for fighting back. Although there are only six of them, and despite the fact the sadistic Missionaries are ready and better prepared for a war, the Heretics' willingness and ability to fight back may mean the end of the Benedicts' totalitarian empire and the revival of religious freedom. But if they fail, brutal and painful executions will be their only reward.

I may make trailers for the other three books of the series, which are, in order:
The Heretics
The Crusaders
3rd book is unnamed
4th book is unnamed
The Martyrs

Oh, and before I get a million questions about it, the music I used is called Blasphemy by Immediate Music.

For some reason, when viewed on a person's channel as their featured vid, this vid's not in HD. But when viewed alone, it is. Weird.
