More than 400 people attended the Second Arab American Day organized by The Arab League in Washington, D.C. under the auspices of the Council of Arab Ambassadors in Washington, D.C. at the Atrium of Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center on Thursday , December 5, 2013. Where a paintings Exhibition of 30 contemporary Arab-American Artists from all over the United States took place together with Arabic live music by an Arab American Trio, while serving Arabic food, and pastries. Remarks were presented by Ambassador ALHussaini of the Arab league, Ambassador Al-Moghairy of Oman, AMbassador Richard Schmierer representing Secretary of State Mr. John Kerry and U.S. former Secretary of Transportation Mr. Ray LaHood. Vp, Andrew Galfuso and Allyson Mckithen reflected the Great hospitality of the Ronald Reagan Building & international Trade Center in a warm friendly & professional atmosphere.
The Arab league payed tribute to the achievements of Ms. Lily Bandak as an inspirational prominent Arab-American Artist/Photographer with Disability, who has her works in the White House collection and currently working to spread awareness on disability among Arab Universities.
