Coeur d'Alene, Idaho — Three Coeur d'Alene police officers were cleared in a deadly shooting that left the suspect dead and one of their own wounded in late February.

The police department released the body camera video of the shooting Monday and shows the exchanged of gunfire.

Coeur d'Alene police officer Kelly Mongan had asked the suspect Curtis Ware twice if he had a weapon on him before the shooting happened. The video shows Officer Charles Hatley get shot and him yell out for help and Officer Taylor Beach take control of the situation. You don't see it clearly, but she loads Hatley into Officer Mongan's patrol car and take him to the hospital.

This all started with a traffic stop five minutes earlier. Officer Mongan had pulled the vehicle over on Hattie Avenue. Curtis Ware was in the back seat and had a warrant out for his arrest.

Officer Taylor Beach's actions won't go unnoticed either. Coeur d'Alene Police Chief Lee White announced Monday that he nominated Officer Beach for the national Medal Of Valor. Both Hatley and Beach were awarded the Medal Of Honor at the Coeur d'Alene Police Department's award banquet in April. Hatley was also awarded the Purple Heart.

The suspect later died as a result of his injuries.
The officer survivied his gunshot wounds.
