Time lapse of Ice core scientists from the University of Maine, Dartmouth College, the University of New Hampshire, and the US Geological Survey cutting samples from ice cores spanning the last 1000 years in the National Ice Core Laboratory (Denver, CO) freezer. The cores were collected from the summit plateau of Mt. Hunter in Denali National Park in June, 2013. The cut samples will be shipped from Denver, CO to Dartmouth College to be analyzed so that we can understand how Alaskan climate changed from Medieval times to today.
