Acqua di Gio by Giorgio Armani is a great citrus-aquatic casual perfume released in 1996 that can be worn by anyone older than 16. Its longevity ranges between 6 and 10 hour, fact that makes it an ideal choice for the office.

The top is represented by jasmine, rosemary and hespiradic notes. Persimmon fruits and marine notes constitute the middle, while the base is made of cedar, patchouli, white musk and rock rose. The citrus-aquatic vibe combined with the lemon-lime accord predominates in this fragrance. The slight floral vibe given by the jasmine is very hard to detect and the rock rose is even more so. The minor floral aspect gives Acqua di Gio a Mediterranean feel, but not enough to think of this scent as a floral, per se. The base is full of fresh vibes, as well, but it feels a bit synthetic, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

The peachy vibes from the middle turn the fragrance more fruity. Acqua di Gio is overall easy to wear, very safe and very appealing, getting people who wear it a lot of compliments. Despite being one of the bestselling fragrances in the past, Acqua di Gio is nowadays not as popular, so by wearing this, people still manage to set themselves apart from the crowd. While some might still be able to pinpoint several negative aspects, Acqua di Gio has been so popular for a good reason: it is a beautiful fragrance.

Armani has paired-up with non-governmental organization Green Cross, so for each Acqua for Life bottle of this fragrance, the company will help providing the funds for 100 liters of clean fresh water to developing communities around the world who need it. The elements that set the Acqua for Life edition apart are the blue waves on the bottle, the Acqua for Life logo on the front of the box and the brief description of this humanitarian campaign on the back. Not many perfume companies can claim that their products make you smell good while also doing something for a good cause. http://www.fragrancetalk.com http://www.fragrancetalk.com
