Laura Lavigne believes in the power of joy as a creative force, a "tribe making" force and as a hugely effective way of working - and living. In this funny, yet tender talk she shares parts of her personal story as well as why hundreds of people she has never met - all of them wearing bright yellow shirts - regularly stand on street corners all over the country and beyond, being ambassadors to her work and "sprinkling happiness."
Laura Lavigne has spent the last decade using her motto that "life does not have to be hard" to guide people towards joyful, authentic and essence-based lives. Two years ago Laura began offering her work to a larger community by opening the Anacortes Center for Happiness.
Recently she created the Happiness Sprinkling Project as well as the 90-Day Gratitude Attitude Challenge, and Laura's vision for a widely welcoming, supportive and global Happiness Tribe is now becoming a reality.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
