Shows how to make two different slip stitch edges also called chain edges for knitting. I show what I call a twisted chain edge and an open chain edge. This type of edge eliminates the bumps that appear with garter and stockinette patterns.

This, without a doubt, is the best tutorial on knit chain edges. I use the first option faithfully and it's easy to remember and never fails.
Great job!  Very good explanation with each edge.  Thank you.

Hi using husbands YouTube my knitting pattern is sl1 knit last stitch 2nd row is sl1 p1 k1 so forth mine keeps messing up as I get finished on my 2nd row could you I help please thnx
Thank you! Very clear and well produced. So many patterns merely state, "Slip the first stitch," without indicating whether this should be kw or pw, and where the yarn should be. Much appreciated!

Thank you so much for producing this video. Its a very helpful and nice looking edging that looks more "finished". I am self taught and I never picked this piece of information up. Again so grateful.

so you slip the first stitch knit wise, then purl the last stitch on the KNIT row.... why didn't you tell us what to do on the PURL row??? Do I slip the first stitch purl wise, then knit the last stitch on a purl row???

I'm making a seed stitch tie. I attempted to apply your method, one side looks exactly like yours, the other is bumpy. Any suggestions?
