B.B King Blues Festival live at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, The Woodlands, Houston, TX in 1993, including Eric Johnson, Buddy Guy, Koko Taylor, Loonie Brooks, Greg Allman & more... They performed B.B King's "Everyday I Have The Blues".
On my opinion, Eric Johnson did the best solo! He played an sweet and clean sound, with use of chords and on the right speed. Buddy Guy played a big mess, because he played (or tryied) very fast, but he didn't played an clean sound and used very high bends that doesn't fits to the harmony. Buddy Guy's solo was freakin' annoying. The rest is ok, they did an awesome jam! I'm really a fan of everybody here, but i HATED Buddy's solo on this... But we all know that Buddy Guy deserves a lot of respect, he is a big part of blues/music story! A funny fact i've realised on this one, is that B.B King approaches to Eric saying something like "C'mon, came to the front of the stage", because looks like he was shy. He don't try to overplay anyone there. Koko Taylor and Junior Wells were awesome. Love their vocals, so amazing!
