Seed saving is far more than a quick and easy ecological act. Seed saving is quickly becoming a necessity. In just one generation, we have lost much of our agricultural diversity due to a variety of factors, including corporate monoculture farms and the increased use of standardized hybrid seeds. Seeds have been saved and traded among neighbors for the past 10,000 years, creating spectacular global agricultural diversity. This talk includes a hands-on demonstration of seed harvesting.
