This is an annual tradition at our school. On the last day of school, the 5th-graders walk through the hallways while all the kids and teachers from the other grades line the hallways and "clap out" the departing soon-to-be middle-shoolers. They walk through every hallway, pass all their teachers through the years and leave through the same kindergarten doors they first entered six years ago. It's very sweet.
Kayla carried her flip cam to capture the experience from her perspective.
At one point, you can hear her tell a friend, "I thought I would cry. I'm too excited to cry."
