ScheaButter- Music to Smooth Your Soul.
ScheaButter is composed of two members: Amanda Schoedel (Schea) and Andrew Schoedel. This sibling duo has been playing shows together for only six months, but their genes have made the musical magic appear with ease. Schea is a unique singer/songwriter who has been playing acoustic guitar for over ten years. She has written countless original songs which are enjoyed by her fans, friends, and family. Andrew allows his natural talent to take over and the vibrations of his cello perfectly compliment the acoustics played by his sister. With the eclectic blend of jazz, blues, folk, and soul, ScheaButter is able to captivate audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
Natives of Washington, PA, ScheaButter has played at Tuscan Tavern, Hungry Jose's, Bradford Lounge, American Legion, McGrogan's Taproom, Pacer's Lounge at the Meadows Casino, Beechies, and Frankie I's (formerly known as Auggies Roadhouse). Schea has played at Club Café, OTB Bicycle Café, Rex Theater, and The Iron Bridge Tavern in Pittsburgh, as well as establishments in Finleyville, South Park, Bridgeville, and Wexford, PA. They have traveled to Morgantown, Wheeling, and Weirton, West Virginia, as well as Columbus and Youngstown, Ohio. Both are now living in the Pittsburgh Area, and plan to step onto the Pittsburgh scene in 2011.
At the moment they are planning a benefit set for the spring which will benefit the abused, neglected, and homeless youth of Pittsburgh. The benefit is scheduled for June 2011 at the South Side Works and will include raffles, auctions, games, and "music to smooth your soul". ScheaButter believes in making a difference. They feel that people should love the life they lead and live each day to the fullest by giving back to the community.
"Music can change the world. It can unite differences. It can open the eyes, ears, and hearts, and minds of its listeners. We would feel blessed to be able to share our music with the masses." - ScheaButter
