This recording of the organ in Stockholm City Hall was made in 1991. It was published on a CD with the title "Organs in Stockholm" issued by the Swedish Organ Society.

It gives a glimpse of the City Hall organ as it was before the restoration. No dramatic changes as you can hear. It was however only partially functioning. The huge Echo organ, said to be the largest ever built, was not operational, the same with the 32' pedal stops. But the festive high pressure reeds, added in 1972 (built by Harrison & Harrison) where fully functional -- and unlike today -- they were actually used.

Thankfully, all Harrison stops where retained when the organ was overhauled.
