The Senate agreed to adopt Senator Jim DeMint's (R-SC) amendment to correct historical inaccuracies that were made in the new Capitol Visitors Center (CVC) in Washington, D.C. When first constructed, the CVC included a prominent display that incorrectly declared "E Pluribus Unum" as the U.S. National Motto. Senator DeMint's amendment instructs the CVC to display the correct National Motto, "In God We Trust" as well as the Pledge of Allegiance.
