Risen From the Ashes is a documentary short film chronicling the 'resurrection' of North Greenville University. In the early 1990s, the school was on its last legs. It was overburdened with debt with dwindling enrollment and deteriorating facilities.

Dr. James B. Epting accepted his calling to serve as the university's president as a mission to restore the institution to its Christian roots, to place the future of the school upon the altar and allow the Lord to once again be the heart of North Greenville.

Nearly 25 years later, NGU is debt-free, has seen record enrollments annually for 20 consecutive years, and had built over 50 million dollars in new infrastructure without borrowing a dime to do so.

Most importantly, over 6000 individuals have accepted Jesus Christ on campus and through NGU's many outreach ministries in that same period of time.

And don't forget - as Dr. Epting is known to say: "That's only the beginning!"

Watch this documentary, and hear from those who were "there" as it happened how the Lord was at work in NGU's revitalization.
