OLD AMIGA music from 1993
I found an old cassette tape which contained some of my old experiments in music on the Amiga 500, circa 1993/94
DSS8+ ( DSS - Digital Sound Studio ) Interface : parallel port 8 bit stereo sound-sampler up to 51.136 kHz sampling rate in mono and 42.613 in stereo.
Adjustable input levels through 256 steps for both the right and left channels independently auto gain - automatic adjustment of input levels integrated low pass filter, programmable through 128 steps, also with automatic adjustment option work on up to 31 samples in memory load and save in RAW, IFF and Sonix with 1, 3 or 5 octaves controllable from ARexx audio connections: 1× stereo input (2× RCA) 1× microphone input (3.5 mm jack)
All tracks taken from cassette tape with a little equalization and echo added.
Not the best tunes in the world but i thought i would share, you may use them for samples if you like, i took my samples from records and CD's and imported them into the Amiga via the DSS8+ device then using it's own sequencer programmed in the drum patterns using the various sample-kits i had also stabs and such like till i had something i liked then recorded it, i only had four channels to play with left/right stereo and about 2 megs of memory for samples, so i just recorded snare drums and blips etc with the occasional break recorded for cutting (if i could afford the memory) - You can tell by my style the music is very 'of the time' quite retro old-school beats & breaks i enjoyed, i eventually sold my Amiga and all my tune experimentation went with it till i eventually got a PC.
