We warm up for a training session, so a race is no different! Triathlon races are often early in the morning, especially for the long distance events, so getting your body and mind warmed up and focused can take some conscious effort.
On the morning of a race, there’s a lot to think about, what with racking your bike, keeping to your nutrition plan, sorting out your transition zone, doing any final ablutions, this list goes on. Before you know it, time can slip away and your warm up becomes compromised. Make sure to factor in the time you need for all of your race prep.
