It's been a common theme on TV and in movies to portray Dad as a doofus, dork, or fool. Do you ever feel as though this is the prevalent image of Dads in the media? Do you believe that this is a misrepresentation of you and the Dads that you know?

At the Father Daughter Journey, we want to be an advocate for all of the good Dads out there. We believe that good Dads who want the best for their families are the norm. As we see it, most Dads are not the incompetent fools that we see on TV, but rather hard-working, intelligent, dedicated Fathers and Husbands who work hard to be the best that they can be for their families.

In this edition of Hi Dad, Ken Larson talks about the classic Doofus Dad, Homer Simpson. He talks about why Dads are portrayed this way and what you can do about it. He encourages you to use it as a conversation starter in your family.

If you are a good Dad who is tired of being told that most Dads are doofuses, this video is for you!
